Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation – First Impression

I was really hesitant at first to try this foundation out because I wasn’t a big Covergirl fan after I had broken out once before after using CG makeup before but I have recently just fallen in love with CG products once again.

The first Hit was the Ready, Set, Gorgeous foundation. It sets super quickly so you have to work fast. I like to stipple my flat top kabuki brush rather than using my beauty blender. I think, and its my own personal opinion, but I think the beauty blender soaks up a lot of product, and so does the brush, but I think I personally waste less product using a brush. Again, thats me.

Anyways, I have only used this poduct once so, I will check back in a few weeks about the Ready set gorgeous foundation and let you know how I absolutely feel about this foundation.

Revlon Colorstay First Impression

Revlon Colorstay Foundation is pretty good. It gives a nice flawless coverage. Its buildable and lasted all day. At least for me it lasted pretty good all day.

I used the shade Toast, unfortunately the shade just slightly lighter than Toast was all sold out so I just picked up Toast and it fit pretty well. It was just really slightly tanner than my skin tone but it was okay.

Other than thay it was pretty good. I didn’t think I’d have a great experience the first time using a drugstore foundation.

Drugstore Foundations

I’m all about drugstore foundations. I sometimes dabble into those highend luxury brands but most times, I stick to drugstore. There are great dupes in the drugstore for those luxury brands. Yes, the quality may be different and the price – definitely a huge difference – but most times, they DO THE SAME THINGS! Well, maybe they have the same purpose…and that is to even out our skin tones and create a close to flawless complexion.

I do own several bottles of luxury/highend foundations but lets talk drugstore…faves and non-faves.

So for my faves, I currently like the Neutrogena Skin Clearing foundation because I do have Oily-combo skin with some blemishes and it has buildable coverage. The foundation isn’t liquidy but it isn’t super thick. I also like the Revlon Colorstay foundation. It covers up my blemishes pretty well, but, I still do have to build it up. I love how it goes on smoothly and sets pretty well.

Is it becoming an ADDICTION?!!

I may not have as much makeup as the Beauty Gurus that you may have seen on YouTube but this is a lot for me after just two weeks. Seriously, though. I went from Beauty Insider at Sephora to V.I.B. in ONLY TWO WEEKS! Crazy right?! I’m obsessed with makeup now…and maybe I’m addicted. Gahhh!

I just got myself a 32 slot lipstick holder from TJMaxx and I am extremely eager to fill it up!

Speaking about lipsticks, I finally got my hands on Jennifers Nude and Juliannes Nude lipstick by L’Oréal from Target. I have been searching and searching for those lipsticks and finally got them. They were constantly out of stock and when I saw them, I did put them back the night before and I told myself that if they were there the next day, I’ll get them and they were, so I did. Yes!

I’m in the works of collecting EVERYTHING TOO FACED! EVERYTHING!!! Maybe two of everything, we’ll see. I’ve got two Original Chocolate Bars anf two Semi-sweet Chocolate Bars, (plus a few that were defected), can you tell that I’m addicted to Too Faced. Yes, Ma’am, I definitely am.

Well this is the end of my random spiel. Now back to biz.

Love yah always!

Going another 90° – Make Up

So, let me say that I love crafting, but I picked up another art… MAKE UP! I am so obsessed with trying out new techniques and expanding my collection! Seriously, I think I went overboard shopping when I first watched Jaclyn Hill on YouTube. I know I didn’t need to buy a bunch at first and should have started small, but, hey, I really couldn’t help myself! I needed to get them all!!!!!! But soon, I will one day I’ll own them all!

I super excited to try out new products and techniques. I do mix my own oils for topical use and they are truly blowing my mind. I never thought I would be mixing my own oils to create a solution to acne, blemishes, spot treatments, dark spots, headaches, nausea, migraines….so much. But they are 100% PURE ORGANIC OILS. Great for all skin types. I’m so EXCITED!!

My Mini-California Adventure

Our trip to California wasn’t all fun and games. It was fun but we were on serious business. Learning all the information we need to build our business to create an asset for our future. Well, I won’t be going into depth about that.

Let’s talk a little of the adventures I’ve been on. It really wasn’t a big adventure, I spent some time with my dad and grandma there too, the live about an hour away from LAX airport. The day we got there, October 7, 2015, we first went to eat some Chinese food at a chinese buffet called China buffet. Ate quite a lot, I was really just craving some shumai.

After that we headed to my dads place, settled in and took a nap. My grandma took me to Target to pick up some panties, yes, my grandma took me to buy panties, well my grandma bought me panties. I unfortunately didnt pack enough…intentionally because I ran out of time packing and I knew I could buy some when we get to Cali. Then we went to Olive Garden! I love Olive Garden. I ate stuffed rottini (I have no idea how to spell that), had a fancy strawberry lemonade  (it has a fancy name that I don’t remember), and a triple chocolate mousse cake. It was so delicious!!! Oh I also received a few packages. A set of 31 high quality make up brushes, 100% Pure Oregano oil (I am falling in love with theraputic oils), more makeup and the best makeup setting spray ever by Skindinavia (which makes Urban Decays setting sprays).

On thursday, we dropped off my grandma at work in Leisure World then we dropped my dad off at home so he can rest and off to Burbank we went! I wanted go to Morphe and check out the shop. And did I do some damage. Got a few palettes and some single eyeshadows to build my a custom palette. Then we went to dinner to eat some Thai food at Uncle Tims. Oh and we had some Krispy Kreme, I had the original glazed creame filled donut.

On Friday, Justen and I did some galavanting and went to the warehouse to pick up a few things we needed and because we had an hour wait we went to Target and picked up a few more things and I needed some make up essentials. Then we headed to Ontario for the weekend.

We got back to my dads place super early Monday morning. Like 2 or 3 am that morning. Slept in the car and woke up to my dad and grandma banging on the window waking us up. Then we took a nap in bed and went to pick up my grandma at 12 noon and then we went to dollar tree and I picked up a few more make up palettes. Then we went to eat at Sizzlers. Those corn fritter things…..oh my gosssshhhhhhhh! sooooo gooooood! to learn how to make that! We took my grandma to see the Nutrilite center and we did a little shopping there in the gift shop. After that we went home to pack because in less than 18 hours, we were getting on a plane to head back home to beautiful Hawaii! I will be back in a few months. Guaranteed! We did go to GEN for dinner and that food was AAHHHHHMAAAZING!!! I love Korean food just as much as I love Thai food. The food was quick and delish! Highly recommend. Oh and I cannot forget to mention that I brought home a box (a dozen) of Krispy Creme donuts…Im debating if I want to share or not. 🙂

Since a lot of things can’t get shipped to Hawaii, I get them sent to my daddy (who is the BESTEST DADDY EVER! Not to brag…but he really is!) and he ships them to me. Its also expensive to have them shipped to Hawaii, sometimes $50+, RIDICULOUS I TELL YOU!!! So he ships them to me after it gets shipped to him. I do have a gown coming my way very soon. Its a gold shimmery sequined gown. So excited!

Anyways. I was kind of sad that I had to leave and that the trip was so short, but, I WILL BE BACK hopefully to have a little more days to spend with my dad and grandma. I’ll most likely be back within the next 4 months.

Well, now that we are back in Hawaii, its time to make things happen.

Thanks for reading!
Love always, Marai ♡

Vintage Roses – Altenew – Let’s Make Cards

I just received these stamps in the mail today and I am so excited!!! Well, these stamps came out quite some time ago and I just couldn’t wait to get my hands on them. I had to do some research and check out some reviews before I dive into getting stamps. I don’t want to end up with a stamp I thought I’d like and then end up not liking it. But I am absolutely loving these stamps. As most of you know, I love floral images. My three favorite flowers are Tiger Lilies (Stargazer Lilies), Peonies and Roses, and if I had to add in a fourth it would be cherry blossoms.

Whenever I see my favorite flowers in stamp forms I just have to get my hands on them. And when the opportunity came, I decided it was time. I decided to get the Vintage Flowers and Vintage Roses and their coordinating dies by Altenew from Tupelo Designs, LLC, and by clicking the link or here you will receive a special discount code that you can have sent straight to your inbox.*

*Please keep in mind that I am not presently representing Tupelo Designs, LLC. I just truly love their customer service and I absolutely love their Loyalty Program.
