Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation – First Impression

I was really hesitant at first to try this foundation out because I wasn’t a big Covergirl fan after I had broken out once before after using CG makeup before but I have recently just fallen in love with CG products once again.

The first Hit was the Ready, Set, Gorgeous foundation. It sets super quickly so you have to work fast. I like to stipple my flat top kabuki brush rather than using my beauty blender. I think, and its my own personal opinion, but I think the beauty blender soaks up a lot of product, and so does the brush, but I think I personally waste less product using a brush. Again, thats me.

Anyways, I have only used this poduct once so, I will check back in a few weeks about the Ready set gorgeous foundation and let you know how I absolutely feel about this foundation.

Revlon Colorstay First Impression

Revlon Colorstay Foundation is pretty good. It gives a nice flawless coverage. Its buildable and lasted all day. At least for me it lasted pretty good all day.

I used the shade Toast, unfortunately the shade just slightly lighter than Toast was all sold out so I just picked up Toast and it fit pretty well. It was just really slightly tanner than my skin tone but it was okay.

Other than thay it was pretty good. I didn’t think I’d have a great experience the first time using a drugstore foundation.

Drugstore Foundations

I’m all about drugstore foundations. I sometimes dabble into those highend luxury brands but most times, I stick to drugstore. There are great dupes in the drugstore for those luxury brands. Yes, the quality may be different and the price – definitely a huge difference – but most times, they DO THE SAME THINGS! Well, maybe they have the same purpose…and that is to even out our skin tones and create a close to flawless complexion.

I do own several bottles of luxury/highend foundations but lets talk drugstore…faves and non-faves.

So for my faves, I currently like the Neutrogena Skin Clearing foundation because I do have Oily-combo skin with some blemishes and it has buildable coverage. The foundation isn’t liquidy but it isn’t super thick. I also like the Revlon Colorstay foundation. It covers up my blemishes pretty well, but, I still do have to build it up. I love how it goes on smoothly and sets pretty well.
